What is AWS

Amazon Web Services is a subsidiary of Amazon providing on-demand cloud computing platforms and APIs to individuals, companies, and governments, on a metered pay-as-you-go basis.

So AWS is the cloud computing platform of Amazon. So in easy words, if you are planning to run your own blog or business site then AWS is the perfect tool for that. AWS offers 1 year of the free server of t2.micro which you can use as your web server. Here is the list of all free services that are offered by AWS in the free tier.

What you need to open an Account

To open an AWS account you need an email account, a valid mobile number and a credit / debit card.

In Bangladesh, it’s hard to get a dual currency credit card. So if you don’t have any dual currency credit card, then you can take prepaid cards from EBL or Midland Bank. To get a prepaid card, go to the nearest branch with following documents. NID/Passport, Photo and Utility bill copy.
