In this article, I will show you how you can install Drupal on AWS EC2 instance, which can help you to get started with Drupal and AWS. In the next paragraphs, we will discuss what is Drupal and how you can install Drupal on AWS.

What is Drupal

According to Wiki, Drupal is a free and open-source web content management framework written in PHP and distributed under the GNU General Public License. Drupal provides a back-end framework for at least 2.3% of all websites worldwide – ranging from personal blogs to corporate, political, and government sites.

How to Install Drupal on AWS

So Drupal is a CMS build on top of PHP and MySQL. To run Drupal, you need to have at first install PHP/MySQL and Apache webserver. Then I will show you how you can install Letsencrypt SSL and secure your Drupal site.
